Our mascot for the relatively short trip to Barrow was Thomas Benson – and what a night it turned out to be for him!

​

Dad Stephen said: “Firstly, I’d just like to say a massive thank you to everyone for accepting Thomas to be the Carlisle mascot (and, can I say, a lucky mascot) on Thursday evening, he absolutely loved every minute of it.

​

“The best part of the day for him was walking out with his favourite player Kadeem Harris. Thomas loved the way Kadeem was with him and especially liked the kind words he shared with Thomas as they walked onto the pitch.

​

“I have to say, the whole experience was a joy. The warm and friendly welcome from Barrow AFC and their hospitality was excellent.

​

“Thomas has a memory for life, and I’ll always treasure just seeing the delight in his face, with the huge smile when watching him running off the pitch after the teams had lined up.

​

“Thank you all, and if you need a lucky mascot again I’m sure Thomas will make himself available for selection!”
