Branch donation to
CUFC Community Sports Trust
19 August 2025

The Carlisle United Supporters’ Club London Branch have long been admirers of the CUFC Community Sports Trust, enjoying close links over the years, with the community and the fans right at the heart of everything both organisations seek to achieve.

That’s why it was an easy decision for the Branch to make when discussions around where the profits raised from the recent run of 74/75 commemorative t-shirts should be directed.

Branch member Andrew Dobinson was at Brunton Park on Saturday, and he was delighted to have the honour of handing over a cheque for £625 to the Trust's CEO James Tose.

“It was fantastic to see the t-shirt we produced strike a chord with fans both online and via sales in the Blues Store, and I think it was always our intention to choose this route when it came to making a decision on which charity we wanted to support,” Branch chairman Dave Brown said.

“James and his incredible team do so many good things for so many people in Carlisle and across Cumbria, from children all the way through to veterans and pensioners.
"It’s great for us to be able to help them with that, even in this small way.”

Carlisle United Community Sports Trust CEO James Tose said: “We are incredibly grateful to our London Branch supporters for their generous donation.

“The money raised has been spent on sports equipment for our school delivery programmes.

“We are in 40 schools per week, so to renew some of the equipment will certainly help make a difference to the work we do.”
