Match Day Mascot - Harrogate Town

Thank you to everyone at Harrogate Town for making Arthur’s mascot experience such a positive one – despite the result.

He said: “I loved walking out to the pitch with Sam Lavelle and the team in front of a full stadium.

“It felt really good to be part of the match with the Carlisle players - but Sam had to remind me to shake hands in the lineup!

I was also able to take some penalties on the pitch at half-time, which was nerve-racking but fun!”

“I'm a defender so I like to watch Sam Lavelle and Terrell Thomas to see how they play,” he added.

“But my favourite is Gabriel Breeze, he's been amazing this season and I spoke to him at half-time as he was walking on and wished him luck.”

“My parents are from Carlisle but I was born in Yorkshire and live near Skipton,” he explained.

“I went to my first Carlisle game when I was six and they've always been my club.”

Dad Rory said: “It was fantastic for Arthur to get a chance to get up close with the Carlisle team, be out on the pitch with them and make some memories to cement his bond with the club.

“We appreciate the effort that went into making it a fun experience, even though his half-time penalty was the only Carlisle goal of the day!”
