Recent London Branch discovery and a cracker of a pub only 3 minutes walk from the railway station. A warm and friendly place with a great selection of real ales, many coming from local breweries. From the station hang a left down Railway Street and then left into John William Street. Keep going under the viaduct and the pub is on the corner of Fitzwilliam Street.
Other Boozers and Food Outlets Worth a Visit
The Head of Steam and The Kings Head, St Georges Square, Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, HD1 1JF
Located within Huddersfield Railway Station are two excellent pubs, both stock a great range of well kept real ales and are very handy to drop in for a swift one either to or from the ground.
The Market Tavern, 98 Leeds Road, Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, HD1 6NN
En route between the station and ground. It’s also convenient for those coming by car and parking close to the Galpharm. A decent local boozer that’s away fan friendly, has an outside area at the back but no real ale.
How To Get There
By Train

From the station, head down past the front of The George Hotel and straight over the crossroads into Northumberland Street. Go straight down across the Ring Road into Leeds Road. After about 400 meters turn right into Gasworks Street which leads past the Market Tavern, into Stadium way and the Galpharm.
By Car & Where To Park
Directions to the Galpharm Stadium can be found on the official Huddersfield Town website.
There is a decent size official car park at the ground and a number of unofficial ones close by.
What’s the Ground Like?

When Have We Been There Before?
Last season we had two trips to The Galpharm inside 7 days. Unfortunately we lost them both conceding 5 goals in the process. Fortunately the 3-0 defeat in the 2nd leg of the JPT Trophy Northern Final wasn’t enough for Huddersfield to overturn our 4-0 victory in the first leg at Brunton Park. The previous season the blues came back from a goal down to earn a very good point with Ben Marshall scoring the equalizer. A fan’s match report from 2010 can be found here.
