VHTB - 09/05/10

A brilliant end of the season with a thrashing of the champions in their own back yard. Was there ever any doubt that Iain Davidson's hair would be coming off ? http://yfrog.com/5ndu3lj

AGM

This years AGM should be extra special as we take Members behind the scenes inside the Tower of London . A 7pm start on Monday 19th July will allow for a private tour of the Tower before the AGM at 8.15pm in the Yeoman Warders bar. The evening climaxes just before 10pm with the ' Ceremony of the Keys ' http://www.londontown.com/London/London_Ceremonies_and_Traditions

Places are strictly restricted to 50 and there is a formal dress requirement ie jacket and tie for men. The event is only open to Members over 18. Guests will be allowed if there are any spaces.

This is sure to be popular so please book your places with me ASAP.

Branch Meeting

All our welcome at this weeks Branch meeting on Thursday 20th May when we will de-brief the season and begin planning for next. The meeting starts at 8pm or 6.30pm for those wishing to eat. Please let Alan Millington know if you are coming along information@carlislelondonbranch.org

Lottery

The club are setting up a new website which should go live by the end of the month. This will have a link from the official site and has Blues Lotto, Premier Club and Golden Gamble sections featuring news and winners. There is one big change happening where Premier Club members will now have a chance to win prizes in the Blues Lotto weekly draw. There will be something on the official site by the middle of next week.

Player of the Season

Congratulations to our winners of the Player of the season and Champagne moment award. Details are on our website http://www.carlislelondonbranch.org/news/news.html

The Champagne Moment award was presented on the pitch prior to the Walsall game last week by James Brand.

The player of the season award will be presented by Bruce Vander at the Awards Dinner tonight.

Teamcard Points

If you are yet to redeem your Teamcard points, I would like Members to consider donating them en block again like last season as a Branch. Should you wish to opt out of this plan please let me know. I will continue to circulate details before utilising the points for an appropriate purchase on 1st July, which is the period where your Branch membership is due for renewal.
