VHTB - 30/11/08

We progressed to the 2nd round of the FA cup at the third attempt at Grays, where the irony was that despite the 1pm kick off, the floodlights were on for the full game. We will remember those two trips in years to come. I personally witnessed two things I had never seen before - an abandonment due to floodlight failure and the disallowed rebound from the penalty.

If we can overcome Crewe there is another trip to the New Den on 3rd January....

VHTB - 19/11/08 - In The Dark

The abandonment of the Grays game last night certainly caused some confusion amongst the crowd. Why was there no electrician on site when they had a floodlight failure last week ? I know we were losing and playing poorly but this is another example of where the fans are big losers.

Rumours that the Grays replay would take priority over the Millwall game next week, proved unfounded as the decision is to play at Grays on the 2nd round day - Saturday 29th Novemeber. Don't be surprised if it's an early kick off.....

London Branch's Trip To Sutton United

The 2pm kick off caused an anxious watching of the tv as Carlisle trailed to Grays. Just as hope faded , the bleep of a text caused delirium in Sutton cricket club as cries of " Gary Madine is a goal machine " caused consternation amongst the locals. Oh the magic of the FA cup.
