London Branch AGM Minutes 2009 (10th July)

VHTB - 13/06/10

A week where there has been lots going on but no end product to show in the transfer market. It certainly seems to be a buyers market so maybe patience and perserverance are the watch words at the moment.

** Please note I will be off e mail from Monday-Friday **

Branch Meeting

All our welcome at the next Branch meeting on Thursday 17th June when we will begin planning for next season as the fixtures are released that day. The meeting starts at 8pm or 6.30pm for those wishing to eat. Please let Alan Millington know if you are coming along information@carlislelondonbranch.org.

A Good Cause

One of our younger Members Neil Jardine is doing a sponsored bike ride. Neil says " The bike ride is 25 miles long and I am taking part because at the end of last year I lost one of my friends to a heart problem and so I wanted to raise money for his charity CRY (Cardiac Risk in the Young). If you can sponsor Neil please get in touch neil.jardine@hotmail.co.uk.

HTB

Dave Brown is just finalising the latest issue of HTB that should be with you at the end of the month.

Supporters' Football

Message from Chris Tembey football@carlislelondonbranch.org

The 1st Annual Thurrock FC supporters tournament will be held at Thurrock FC's training facility next to the club's ground on Sunday 4th July with a 10.15am registration for a 10.30am start.

The tournament will be Essex FA affiliated and will have referees for each match. We will have the bar open and hope to have a food van on the premises.

A 6-a-side team will cost £30 entry and will enable you to have up to 10 players in your squad. The group stages of the tournament are expected to last around 3 hours with each team getting 5 games lasting 10 minutes each.

Please get in touch with Chris if you want to be part of the LB team.

AGM

This years AGM should be extra special as we take Members behind the scenes inside the Tower of London . A 7pm start on Monday 19th July will allow for a private tour of the Tower before the AGM at 8.15pm in the Yeoman Warder's bar. The evening climaxes just before 10pm with the ' Ceremony of the Keys ' http://www.londontown.com/London/London_Ceremonies_and_Traditions

Places are strictly restricted to 50 and there is a formal dress requirement i.e jacket and tie for men. The event is only open to Members over 18. Guests will be allowed if there are any spaces.

This is sure to be popular so please book your places with me ASAP.

Teamcard Points

If you are yet to redeem your Teamcard points, I would like Members to consider donating them en block again like last season as a Branch. Should you wish to opt out of this plan please let me know. I will continue to circulate details before utilising the points for an appropriate purchase on 1st August.
