Brentford Moved to Monday 20th February 19.45

The Brentford game will now be screened on Sky and has been moved to 7.45pm on Monday 20th February. For this reason the event with Steve Soley planned for after the game will now be cancelled. We are hoping to rearrange this for next season.

Notts County Saturday March 3rd at 3pm - cheap train tickets now available

Cheap advance tickets (£33) for London St Pancras to Nottingham for our game against Notts County on March 3rd have just been released. Members are travelling on the 9.30am and returning on the 6.02pm train.

Ticket prices have been announced and are very reasonable: Adult £17, Senior (60+) £10, Young Person (16-20) £10, Student (NUS Card) £10, Junior (15 and under) £5, Child (7 and under) FOC, Family 1 (1 adult, 2 juniors) £22, Family 2 (2 adults, 2 juniors) £39. (please note the changes to the ticket prices for young persons and students). The London Branch are not organising group travel or a meeting pub for this game and the deadline for buying tickets through the branch has passed. SUMMER TRIP 2012

Next year's summer's trip to Lisbon will take place over the weekend of Friday 15th June - Monday 18th June. Nigel Moss, the trip organiser will be looking at booking a hotel when he returns from holiday. The usual format is three nights but in recent years some members have booked extra nights and if you wish to do that, it won't be a problem. Similarly if you only want to stay 2 nights no problem either. One point to note is that England's second group game v Sweden kicks off at 18.00 Portugese time on Friday 15th so if you want to watch that you will need to consider that when arranging your flights. There are flights from Heathrow, Gatwick, Luton, Edinburgh and Liverpool with BA, TAP and Easyjet. We will be arranging a group meal for Friday 15th June after the England game. SHINE THE LIGHT - New branch polo shirt

Despite the planned new stadium, the floodlight improvements at Brunton Park have to be paid for or we would have to start all of our winter games at 1pm. Therefore the Shine The Light campaign is still very active. Visit the branch website to buy the new branch polo shirt - Carlisle Blue with the Shine The Light logo on one breast and the London Branch on the other. Fulham FA Youth Cup 13th December 6pm (Motspur Park)

The 3rd round tie of Fulham v Carlisle in the youth cup is this Tuesday 13th December at 6pm . The game is at Fulham's training ground at Motspur Park KT3 6PT. Its pay on the gate £3 adults, £1 over 65s and Under 16s. It is 3 minutes walk from Motspur Park station which is in zone 4, on the line out of Waterloo. We will meet inside the ground but some members will be meeting in the Earl Beatty next to the station pre match from 5.30pm. Post match drinks will be in The Falcon at Clapham Junction.

Huddersfield - Friday December 31st 7.45pm

This match has been moved to the Friday from the original Saturday 31st at 3pm. Watch this space for ticket details.

PETER MURPHY'S TESTIMONIAL YEAR

Peter Murphy's testimonial year was launched on Friday with a lunch at The Andalucian in Carlisle. The London Branch were represented by Harold Bowron and Mike Carruthers and Mike will be writing a report of the launch and this will appear on our website in the next few days. Murph's testimonial committee have their own website which they will be updating with newsand details of the various events that are taking place. LEGENDS REUNITED

The Club is hosting a "Legends Reunited" evening in Foxy's on Thursday 15th December in association with CFM Cash for kids charity. Match Day Mascots

Ask any child that has been a mascot or their parents and they will tell you that it is a fantastic experience that will stay with them for life. Sitting with the players in the dressing room, running out on to the pitch and warming up with the team and getting your picture taken with your favourite player. For most matches it doesn't even cost anything other than the match tickets. Any junior members (or their parents) can ask to be a mascot by contacting Helen Magee-Brown on mascots@carlislelondonbranch.org

Programmes and Memorabilia

Jason Casey is selling programmes and other football memorabilia to raise funds for the Shine The Light campaign. If you have any unwanted programmes please contact Jason on programmes@carlislelondonbranch.org. For the collectors among you Jason can source specific programmes that you may want while he has some great bundles of 60s,70s, 80s and 90s programmes at bargain prices which make fascinating reading for the rest of us.
