The pre-season has started with quite a few wins against lower league opposition but it is great to see that the young players have been the main examples. One or two look real possibilities for the future.

Please note that you will now receive your HTB by email but can collect a free HTB at away games - IF YOU WANT YOUR HTB POSTED IT WILL COST AN EXTRA £5 FOR THE UK AND £15 OVERSEAS. This is down to the ridiculous postal increases and size changes that mean every HTB costs £1.40 to post.

The Doc

Anyone who went to the Southend Fans Forum or the Norwich dinner will remember the Doc. Doctor Haworth helped out at Carlisle from the 60s and later became the club doctor. He was a mine of stories about Carlisle from the 60s to last month. Unfortunately he passed away last week and will be missed by every person who met him. A huge Carlisle fan and a really nice guy. Go well Doc.

Olympic Football Sunday 29th July

30 members have tickets through the branch for the double header including Team GB at Wembley on Sunday 29th July. Most are meeting at the Civil Service Club at 1-1.30pm for a meal and a couple of drinks before going to Wembley. If you also have tickets for Wembley that day why not join us? Players Award Dinner and Sponsored Game 27th and 28th April 2013

Last year 12 members went to the Players Award Dinner and had a great time. This year we booked 36 places and we already have 27 bookings. The festival at Olympia ( www.gbbf.org.uk ) is in the second week of the Olympics and a week before League One starts so a good opportunity to have an evening out in London with fellow branch members, catch some of the Olympic buzz and look ahead to the footie season over some fine ales. Coventry 22nd September Branch Travel - Cheap Tickets ACT NOW!
