  1. The main aims of the branch shall be:-
    • To maintain at all times the good name and reputation of Carlisle United Supporters' Club.
    • To arrange whenever practical, and when demand is sufficient, transport facilities for members to Carlisle United matches throughout the country.
    • The provision of opportunities for social functions, in particular on the occasion of Carlisle United away fixtures against a London football club.
    • To establish and foster relationships with other football supporters clubs, particularly the London branches of supporters' clubs affiliated to the Association of Provincial Football Supporters' Clubs in London.

  2. There shall be a president and an unlimited number of vice-presidents, the latter being appointed at the discretion of the committee.

  3. The annual subscription, due on the first day of August each year, shall be subject to review by the committee each season.

  4. The management of the branch shall be entrusted to a committee comprising the Chairman, Secretary, Treasurer and other members of the club, who shall be appointed at the discretion of the committee. The committee shall meet not less than once every two months, and at all meetings of the committee three shall form a quorum. A simple majority will be sufficient to implement decisions and should the voting be equal, the chairman shall not have a casting vote.

  5. Committee members shall be elected at the Annual General Meeting. They shall hold office for one year but may offer themselves for re-election. If any committee member is absent for three consecutive meetings without reasonable cause, or shall act in a manner which is considered prejudicial to the best interest of the branch, they shall be deemed to forfeit their place on the committee.

  6. The committee shall have power to fill any casual vacancy among the committee. Any officer so appointed shall hold office only until the next Annual General Meeting, but then shall be eligible for re-election.

  7. Eighteen months shall not elapse without a General Meeting and the quorum for such a meeting shall be twelve. Voting shall be by a show of hands, and each member shall be entitled to one vote.

  8. The committee shall have power to expel any member who shall offend against the rules of the branch or whose conduct shall in the opinion of the committee render them unfit for membership of the branch. No member shall be expelled without first having an opportunity of answering complaints made against them.
